Court orders ASUU to call off strike

  The Academic Staff Union of Universities was told to end its ongoing strike by the Nigerian National Industrial Court on Wednesday. According to The PUNCH, ASUU has been on strike since February 14 to emphasize its demands for increased financing for institutions and a review of professors' pay, among other things. ASUU and the Federal Government had held a number of discussions that came to a stalemate. As a result, the strike was contested in court by the Federal Government.
